Aivon makes 24-pin Fischer cables for connecting breakout boxes to cryostats. The cable has the following properties:
- Fischer S105A093-80+ connectors on each end
- Three different options for cable shielding:
- Cable 16x2x0.14 shielded twisted pair cable (24 wires in use) with pairs between pins 1-2, 3-4, and so on. One common shield around the pairs connected to Fischer body at both ends
- Twisted pairs (12 x 2 x 0.25 mm2) inside own aluminized foil shields and drain wire (per pair), PVC outer insulation. Shields connected to Fischer connector body at both ends.
- Twisted pairs (12 x 2 x 0.25 mm2) inside own aluminized foil shields and drain wire, PVC outer insulation. Shields connected to Fischer connector body at both ends. Separate braided metallic shield around the PVC outer shield clamped on top of Fischer connector body. Nylon braided shield around the metallic shield.
- Custom lengths
- By default, no ferrites attached around the cable. Customer can use clamp-type ferrites or request for solid ferrite beads
- Other connectors e.g. 25-pin D-subminiature possible
